Home Staging for Realtors
In this program, you will learn how to style and stage interiors to enhance their market appeal. Topics include spatial planning, furniture arrangement, and color theory, with a focus on creating visually stunning, sell-ready spaces. You will also explore the psychology of design and its impact on buyers. This program is designed for real estate agents, interior designers, and professionals seeking to master property presentation. It will be led by Thelma Lazo Flores, our esteemed Dean of Interior Design.

Evening Wear Design
In this program, you will explore the process of creating luxury evening wear. From sketching and fabric selection to draping and intricate embellishment techniques, this studio focuses on high-quality garment construction with precision and elegance. This program is perfect for aspiring fashion designers, those interested in haute couture, and professionals looking to refine their craft in the luxury fashion industry. It will be led by Mario Braghieri, our accomplished Dean of Fashion.

Content Creation for Social Media
In this program, you will learn how to create impactful, authentic content for digital platforms. The studio covers storytelling, campaign development, leveraging social media tools, and collaborating with creators to amplify a brand’s presence. This program is tailored for aspiring marketers, influencers, and content creators who want to connect with audiences and build a digital presence. It will be led by Nathalie Tessier, our Fashion Business Program Leader.

Accessory Design
In this program, you will focus on conceptualizing and illustrating fashion accessories. You’ll learn about balance, proportion, and functionality while mastering sketching and rendering techniques to present cohesive accessory collections. This program is suited for aspiring designers, fashion enthusiasts, and individuals looking to explore the creative aspects of accessory design. It will be led by Amy Berkowitz, our accomplished Program Leader.

Personal Styling
The Personal Fashion Styling Summer Studio offers an immersive introduction to the practice of styling for individual clients. Over three intensive weeks, students explore body types, proportions, and style identities, apply color theory, and learn closet auditing and personal shopping strategies. Through hands-on workshops and digital tools, they design capsule wardrobes tailored to different lifestyles and conclude with a complete client styling project presented in a professional format.

Dean of Fashion
Mario Braghieri has been involved in fashion production for over thirty years. He attended Istituto Marangoni to leave his mark in the fashion market as a pattern maker. Upon graduating, he developed samples and worked in fashion production for the Nadini Group, an Italian designer label manufacturer based in Modena-Italy, which included designer houses such as Gianfranco Ferrè and Fendi. He has worked for renowned fashion names such as Emporio Armani, Maska, Cerruti, Mariella Burani, and Karl Lagerfeld. For the past 27 years, Mario has been a significant player in guiding Istituto Marangoni through its international growth.

Amy Berkowitz obtained her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1978 and subsequently ventured into the Film & Television Industry, contributing to the special effects for the inaugural Star Wars movie. She established Artgear, a renowned fashion label favored by global celebrities. In 1994, she achieved a Master of Art in Teaching and imparted her art and design knowledge for over 25 years. Amy's proficiency encompasses drawing, painting, textile design, and fashion. She presently serves as a faculty member at Marangoni Istituto Miami.

Fashion Business Program Leader
Nathalie Tessier studied fashion design in Paris, but she soon discovered that her passion and innate talent lay in the business aspects of the fashion industry. After graduating, she joined the internationally renowned brand Celio as a director, responsible for designing and managing international market collections, purchasing, product distribution, implementation of new store concept prototype designs, and marketing campaigns. Nathalie’s Paris-based experience, in which she led the marketing and production efforts with brands like Celio Sport, Dooble, and Sud Express, allowed her to give insight to her students about the intricacies of the fashion business world.

Dr. Lazo-Flores has been in the creative industry and higher education for over thirty years. She has been a design educator in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of interior architecture, landscape architecture, furniture design, product and interface design, industrial design, and studio art programs in the US, Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines. She has professionally practiced for over ten years, covering luxury residential design, commercial offices, hospitality spaces, trade shows, and military buildings in various parts of the world. She received her Ph.D. in Design Science and Planning from Chiba University, Japan, with a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education.

Karla, originally from Mexico City, embarked on her fashion journey at a young age. Her upbringing in Milan and Los Angeles, surrounded by the worlds of fashion and entertainment, ignited her passion for styling. After studying Fashion Design at Istituto Degli Abiti in Mexico City, then at Central Saint Martins in London, specializing in Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, and Art Direction, and finally, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, she discovered her true calling as a celebrity stylist. Over her 25-year career, she has contributed to top magazines like InStyle, GQ, Elle, and Vogue. Karla's impressive clientele includes Thalia, Paulina Rubio, and even the former First Lady of Mexico.

Jorge Andres Castillo is a photographer, curator, and editor originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He has been teaching Fashion Photography at Istituto Marangoni Miami since 2018. Jorge has worked as a photo editor and curator for companies such as Fundacion Empresas Polar Caracas, Doral Contemporary Art Museum (DORCAM), and Arts Connections Foundation in Miami. His experience includes his Master’s degree in Communication Design from the University of Essen, Germany, and 20 years of experience with photography. He is now the owner and director of Jacvisual LLC, where he helps brands create their visual communication.
